BIO

I am an Amsterdam-based singer, pianist and songwriter. Continuing the momentum of my recent releases, I am back with my new single ‘Black & White’ — an energetic soul, funk, and jazz original that I wrote when I was just 20 years old. Moving away from traditional romance as I sing and play the piano, the song explores the intoxicating yet disorienting nature of superficial beauty aesthetics, capturing the moment when an attractive facade causes you to completely lose track of reality. I wanted to create a timeless groove that connects my early songwriting roots with my current musical evolution. Recorded entirely with real instruments, the song combines fierce vocal delivery with a tight rhythm section and a funky electric guitar solo.

Over the past few years, I have been fortunate to build a track record of sold-out performances across the UK and the Netherlands. Other live music highlights include singing at the Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam for Festival Uitmarkt, performing as a soloist at the Royal Theatre Carré for Duizend Stemmen in Carré, and singing with a black gospel choir at Paradiso Amsterdam.

My upcoming music was remixed and mastered by John Reynolds, who is known for his work with U2, Brian Eno, Damien Rice, and Sinéad O'Connor. I am grateful for the international press and radio support my music has received so far, including live studio performances with interviews and global airplay.

My musical foundation runs deep. I graduated with a degree in jazz vocals as my main subject, and jazz piano and pop songwriting as side subjects from the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Subsequently, I packed my bags to study at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City and returned with a suitcase full of songs. Today, I continue to hone my craft in the studio and on stage, and train with my vocal coach, Margot Giselle, of the Frank Sanders Academy for Musical and Music Theatre in Amsterdam.
